March 28, 2002:
It's here. Elephant Band's new CD "Lessons in Songwriting" is now available. The official release date is April 1st, 2002, but if you want it now, click here to buy it online or through mailorder. We've been waiting over 2 years for this CD, so we're really excited to finally have it ready. We promise you won't be disappointed. It's only $10 US ($15 CND) and if you're one of the first 100 people to buy the album, you'll get some extra free stuff with it. If you live anywhere near Sudbury, Ontario, be sure to come out to the TowneHouse Tavern on Friday, April 5th, 2002 to celebrate the release of this CD with us. There are alot of people going and it should be real fun. Make sure to bring all of your friends, your parents, and even their friends. Don't forget to bring some money too so you can pick up the new CD, some posters, stickers, t-shirts and more.... Hope to see you'll there. Later.
December 11, 2001:
So I know it's been a while since I've updated the site but I'm not going to apologize for it. I've been really busy with school, so I haven't had much spare time. Anyway, that's all over now so I plan on dedicating myself to the label 100%.

So, to start things off, Barcode is working with a new band called the Elephant Band from Sudbury, Ontario. Well, actually they're now living in Sudbury, Toronto and London, but it doesn't really matter. You can download two of their older songs on their band page to get an idea of what they sound like. They're just finishing up the mixing for their 16 song debut CD "Lessons in Songwriting", which you'll be able to see sample artwork for real soon. Once they're done the mixing, they'll be heading into Umbrella Sound (Toronto, Canada) to master. If all goes as planned, the CD should be released in early March of next year. I know it seems like a long ways off, but you wouldn't believe how much shit needs to get done before then. They'll also be playing a show at the TowneHouse (Sudbury, Ontario, Canada) on Boxing Day (December 26th), so if you're in the area, you've no excuse for not showing up. They should have some merchandise (posters, stickers and t-shirts) for sell, so bring some of that money you get for Christmas.

And if you haven't picked up our second release yet, Never Say Never's "Down This Road", what are you waiting for? They're only $8.00 US ($12.00 CAN) and it comes with a FREE sticker, and probably some posters in the next little while. You can listen to an amazing song from the disc called Mind Your Own if it'll help you make up your mind.

And of course, you can still get a copy of Barcode's debut CD, Better Living Through Reckless Experimentation for only $7.00 US or $10.00 CAN. If you buy both CDs, you'll get a whole bunch of FREE stuff!

So, the last update I told you that we were releasing a 6 song CDEP with Never Say Never, a band from North East, PA. As it turns out, this release has become a 9 song release entitled "Down This Road", and will most likely be out the first week of June. I'll have an exact date in a week or two. The artwork should be available toward the end of next week sometime? I've heard the final master copy of the CD and let me be the first to tell you, these guys rule! I promise you'll all love this CD. They're one of the most exciting punk bands I've heard in a while. Find out for yourself and download this FREE mp3, Mind Your Own.

Not only are we putting out this great CD, but we'll also have some posters, stickers, and T-shirts (boys and girls). Be sure to check out the merch section for all of this cool up and coming stuff (next couple weeks), as well as our first CD, Better Living Through Reckless Experimentation, which is still available for only $7 US (credit card) or $10 CAN (mailorder).

Finally, something worth writing home about. Barcode's second release will be a 6 song CDEP with Never Say Never, from North East, Pennsylvania, just outside of Erie. NSN head into the studio February 28 and finish up at the end of March. If all goes well, the CD should be ready for release by the start of the summer. Judging by what I've heard so far, this CD should really kick ass.
